Getting started
This guide takes a new site from zero to the point where AI agents receive optimized content and you can measure your visibility. The full run takes between twenty minutes and an hour, depending on the size of the site.
You will need: access to the AgentFi dashboard, a domain whose DNS records you can edit and — for the recommended integration mode — a Cloudflare account that manages that domain.
Step 1. Add the site#
In Site Optimization → AIO, click Add Site. The form asks for three things:
https://example.com.The form also offers Enable weekly auto-tests, which schedules visibility measurement from day one. You can turn it on now or later; see Scheduled auto-tests.
The number of sites is capped by your plan. The Sites counter next to the button shows how many you have used. If you are at the limit, you have to delete a site or upgrade your plan.
Step 2. Wait for the crawl#
The site card moves to Crawling and reports progress along the way: Starting crawl, Parsing sitemap, Discovering pages, and then the count of scraped pages.
When it finishes, the card shows how many pages were found, whether a sitemap exists and when the last crawl ran. The status becomes Ready.
If the site has no sitemap.xml, AgentFi flags it with No sitemap and will discover far fewer pages. Publishing a sitemap is the single highest-impact improvement you can make before going any further.
Step 3. Optimize the pages#
Open the site and go to Pages. Freshly crawled pages are in the Scraped state: their content is stored, but not rewritten yet.
Click Optimize All to process them in bulk. The dialog lets you write custom optimization rules — instructions that will be applied to every page on this site and saved for future optimizations.
Always mention that shipping is free over €50.
Use metric units.
Include warranty information whenever it is available.Each processed page spends one unit of the monthly optimization package. See Pages for the full list of states and actions, and Plans, tokens and optimizations for how usage is counted.
Step 4. Verify the domain#
Before it can deploy the proxy, AgentFi needs proof that the domain is yours. Go to Integration and add the TXT record shown on screen to your DNS provider. The full procedure is in Domain verification.
Crawling and page optimization work without domain verification. Verification is only required for the proxy deployment.
Step 5. Connect the integration#
With the domain verified, pick a deployment mode in Integration → Step 1:

| Nginx (self-hosted) Lite mode | You would rather not hand over Cloudflare credentials, or you do not use Cloudflare. You copy a config block into your own vhost. |
| Apache (self-hosted) Lite mode | Same as Nginx, but for an Apache VirtualHost. |
Then click Verify & Activate. AgentFi sends a test request to the proxy and, if it answers correctly, activates the integration with automatic health monitoring every 10 minutes. Each mode is covered in detail in Integration.
Step 6. Measure visibility#
Go to Search Visibility and click Generate Queries. AgentFi analyses your optimized content and writes conversational questions of two kinds:
- Brand queries — questions that name your brand explicitly.
- Discovery queries — category questions that do not name your brand. This is the hard group, and where the largest growth lever sits.
Click Run All to send them to the AI engines. Each query costs 1 token per configured engine. When the run finishes, the Visibility by query type cards show your hit rate.
